Chrysler's in-house custom vehicle studio, Mopar Underground, will display four special-edition 2009 Dodge Ram light-duty pickups at SEMA. The first vehicle is the Ram Sportsman, which sees the all-new half-ton outfitted for hunting season.
The most noticeable aspect of the Sportsman is its unique "blowing-leaves" paint scheme, inspired by traditional camouflage. There's also a set of Mopar wheel flares and running boards with integrated steps. A 2-inch Mopar lift kit helps the Sportsman clear obstacles on the trail and gives the truck a tough stance on the road or in the dirt.
In its cargo box, the Sportsman features Dodge's new RamBox lockable and drainable storage system to store and protect plenty of outdoor gear or the day's catch. There's also a cargo management system mounted between the walls of the box for additional cargo capacity.
Optional Mopar telescoping trailer tow mirrors help with rear visibility for pulling camping gear. The Sportsman also has 20-inch wheels with 33-inch tires.
Inside, the Sportsman has satellite navigation and Sirius Satellite TV, with screens mounted in the headrests to keep the kids entertained for the ride to your favorite campground. Katzkin has created perforated leather seats embroidered with the Sportsman logo.
