Anyone run this tire? I've found a brand new set of 5, size 33x12.5x15s for $550 and am thinking of jumping on them. They're an all terrain tire but in comparing tread they look like they'd do just fine in everything but clay or serious rock crawling.

Any comments positive or negative? 'Bout the only negative things I've seen said about them is that they're very hard to find (MT discontinued them maybe?). Not a problem in this case and at that price it might be a no brainer?

Here's about the best review I've found: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com.au/news_stories/baja_radial.htm

No wheels. Just tires.

Already got 'em and installed and I absolutely love them. By far a better on road ride than what was on there (Pro Comp) and better than any BFGs I've run before on other trucks.

Haven't had a chance to take her into any serious offroading yet, but the muddy season is comin so we should see what she can do pretty soon. But truthfully, I'm already sold on these MTXs as being a great 80/20 tire.

nice tires mickey thompsons are the best you can buy. they look more like clay tires then mud. mud would have better tread. but for 550 i would def. take them

A buddy of mine just got those on his 04 ram. He loves the but they seem to cake up in anything that is thick, so becareful. you cant beat the price so i would jump on them.

They do horrible in anything that is even remotely thick. I had them for a little over 3 months. I agree for that price thats a great deal, and they do very well on the road, but if you are planning on any kind of serious off roading (unless its sand, or dry dirt) dont buy them.

Welp a year later and I've got to say... you guys are 100% right. These are a wonderful dry/wet pavement, sand, firetruck and even a little bit of a crawl tire. And they still look damn near new after 10k miles too.

BUT DO NOT hope to get thru mud with these things. They cake up better than Betty Crocker. You'll feel like you're gliding on ice.

But all in all, they're a great tire that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Like everything else though, just know what you're signing up for.
