I just brought home my 09 Quadcab 4x4. I bought it off the lot rather than order one because of the nearly $15000.00 discount on the 09's. The only thing it doesn't have (that I wanted) is a limited slip read end. My question is, does traction control not, to some extent, replicate the traction you would get with a limited slip rear end? I know it applies the brake on the spinning wheel and thereby should allow the wheel with traction to turn. I'm not thinking of a WOT takeoff, rather climbing a loose gravel hill. Any thoughts or experiences? Before replying, I know that it is not the same as limited slip so don't berate me for not just buying one with limited slip - the price was too hard to refuse.
