i have a 2001 ram that i built a 13.1 comp. nitrous motor and the stock fuelinjection has to be moddified way too much, how do i go about putting a carb on it and what would i have to make the tranny still work with out going in to limp mode?

What has to be modified on your stock fuel system? Yours is TBI correct? Im sure you could run a Carb... but that may be even more trouble dealing with the PCM.
I know we can set you up with an SCT tune... I find it hard to believe they don't make a fuel injector large enough for your application...
Post some more specifics... In my opinion, I would think it would be more expensive and more difficult converting to a CARB.

well my origonal plan was to build my 1999 dakota r/t so i built an alcohol nitrous motor, about three months ago i acquired a 440 that i am gonna build for turbos but thats another story, i do not have a tbi its the direct port in the keg intake witch stops pulling at 3,500 rpm and i need about 6,000 rpm i also have a second strike full ignition system that i want to put on there but dont have a clue on how to do that this is all new to me i am used to the old school chevy lol all imput will be mutch appreciated thanks.

If I where you I would go with a stand alone PCM and throttle body... The stand alone would be able to controle your timing & your entire fuel curve...
A good stand alone is NOT cheap... but it will give you UNLIMITED control, it could also be set up to control your Nitrous system as well as anything else you need to control for racing.
FAST Seems to make some decent stand alone systems that allow you to make changes on the fly..
Sounds like a nice project.

I am in the process of doing this right now. I have a 97 and want to go from a 318 fuel injection to a hot 360 with a holley carb and older style ignition system.
For an ignition I bought an older style vacuum advance distributor with a 340 swinger electronic pickup plus a orange ECU ignition box and single resistor. I hooked it up to a battery on the work bench and it worked fine.
For a fuel pump I went to a mechanical unit on a A timing cover but an electric would also be fine but the stock pump must be pulled.
For a tranny I will switch from a 46E which is electronic controlled to a 46H which is stand alone, no computer.
The speedo from 92 on up are electronic so my 46H will work fine. I am using the stock alternator and power steering pump.
