Hi all. Thought I would just open one thread instead of 3.
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD Quad Cab w/ 4.7L Engine. I have 80k miles on the truck all mine. I have a few questions about some maintenance I am about to do. Like a lot of the Dodge vehicles I am having some brake issues with warped rotors and pads wearing down fast due to heat issues.
In order to fix this I am looking at buying some drilled and sloted rotors with ceramic pads. Have any of you done this or known of anyone that has?
While I had the rotors off I was going to go a head and replace the wheel bearings. It looks like they have made the wheel hubs and bearings all one unit. Is this the case or am I looking at it wrong?
Finally I have not done any transmission maintenance on the truck at all. I have heard of people having slippage issues after having a transmission serviced with so many miles on it and no service being performed previously. Recommendations?
Thanks in advance
Bill
