I use my 05 hemi 2WD for a daily driver and hardly ever pull anything with it. I drive it to work daily but I want to have the power there in case a mustang gets frisky if you catch my drift. I've read a lot about the diablo module, cold air intakes, exhaust, etc. etc. I'm looking for first hand experience, best bang for the buck?

bang for the buck superchis sct or diablo. Headers were a pretty good bang for the buck if you can find a good/cheap set. Theres plenty of hard parts out there but the tuning for the trucks is lacking way behind the cars.

What SPEDLY said, tuning is where the performance is - it makes all the mods play nice together and maximizes their synergy.
I like the superchips 3815 for their canned performance tune. They are easy to come by new, used, and cheap. They also have been proven to work well. The diable will be great once they get the bugs worked out for us 05 guys. I hear their canned tunes work well so far. Diablo will be better for the more heavily modded engines.
As for hardparts - intake, exhaust (headers & muffler), efan, cam, and gears will get you smoking the tires with ease.
Intake: Any, even home-made, is better than stock.
Exhaust: I like long tubes but get a better y-pipe. The muffler needs to go but check the flow-rates and material used of the replacement. The flow-rates are probably negligible so it will most likely come down to your preference of sound. Factory resinator won't really hurt you leaving it on if you don't want drone. If you go cat-back dual out - stay with small pipes or you will lose bottom end. My 05 seems to like single out. Remember it's all stainless from the factory anyway so you may only want to replace the restrictive parts.
efan: I like the flex-a-lite 180 with the upgraded variable speed controller. Engine seems to rev quicker but it might just be in my head.
Cam: Many good ones out there. 6.1 cam/pushrods is a good top-end cam and is cheap through Mopar. I went with a Comp 260 which is better on the bottom-end since mine is a heavy 4x4.
Gears: Check your glove box to see what your have. 3.55's are slow with the 20" rims. 3.92's are a good compromise. 4.56's are fast off the line and around town. You only have one set in the rear so they're not going to be that expensive - just find someone good to install them if you change.
Do your research on this and other sites and you will surely smoke those mustangs...

You pretty much hit all the bases... There is alot you can do... right now there are a few 12 second NA HEMI RAMS.... Sure they are heavily modded... but it just goes to show you that you can do just about anything you want.... Just set your goal and start plugging away at it.
4.56 gears are hands down the single best mod I have done to date. With the 545RFE and your .67 overdrive, a set of 4.56's are tamed down to a 3.05 overall gear ratio... I went from 3.55's to 4.56's and only gained 300RPMS@60MPH! But I also gained super off the line performance and a 3MPG@60MPH. I literally see an increase in MPG from 0MPH all the way to 60MPH.... I have the .75 overdrive.
Allot of guys run the PACESETTER LONG TUBES & 3" HIGH FLOW "Y" PIPE. Real affordable coming in just over 500 bucks... You could knock two birds with one stone.
Electric Fan is another great mod... Its worth 10RWHP and about 2MPG.
Superchips is great if you just plan the basic mods... but if you plan to go BIG then your best option will be Diablo or SCT. Both allow you to fine tune your timing and AFR at RPM.
FYI!! STAY AWAY FROM THE THROTTLE BODY "SPACERS"... they are SNAKE OIL on a MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTED ENGINE! They have no effect on ANYTHING as the fuel is NOT introduced until the end of the intake runners... So nothing but air flows through the spacer... if anything it will HINDER performance as a restriction!

Sounds like great gouge, much appreciated. I just put on a 50 series flowmaster exiting before the rear tire at and angle, and I feel like I lost a little on the low end but it seems more responsive while driving. Thanks a lot for the help!

A 100 shot of nitrous will wake these trucks right up. If you have a Quad Cab, you can fit 2 bottles under the rear seat. My 6,000 lb 4x4 Ram will keep up with a stock 5.7 hemi LX car in the quarter mile if I spray her.

one thing you got to remember that your engine stock has a whole lot of hidden horsepower waiting to unleashed cause factory parts are put on to save money and they only spend alot on the main things so my advice would be get undrive pulleys basically means that you change the diameter of the pulleys on your engine so there is less drag/ more horsepower you can get different cams but if you cant do it your self your probably end up spending more money than you want too. get some 4.10 gears, supercharger would be very applicable about 1,200.00 though for a syntripical s/c msd ingnition c/a intake if your not worried about gas get hi flow injectors shorty headers
very cheap horsepower package
z-max, e-3spark plugs, regular k/n oiled airfilter, throttle body spacers, single in duel outlet aftermarket exhaust, wit all these thing's its probably going to cost about 350.00
these were my first upgrades on my truck 03 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 5.9l. youll get about a good 78 horsepower gain and about 30 lbs of torque
