Did you disconnect the battery for 5 minutes after replacing the EGR valve???

thanks for the reponse,I tried it,didn't work.I replaced the air filter and I'm gonna replace the spark plugs and possibly the hose of the egr.hopefully it'll fix the problem, can't afford to drive anymore with this mileage and these gas prices haha.

Clean the throttle body. If the EGR was gummed up enough to pop a CEL, the TB is gonna be at least that bad...

Did you figure it out? Just an idea here, I had what I thought was an mpg problem but it turned out to be a brain fart. I must have hit the button on the computer display while cycling through and I changed the readout to metric without knowing. So, while I thought I was reading mpg's and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get better than 8-10 mpg in city and 12-14 mpg's highway, it was actually displaying miles per kilometer. Dah! Hit the button on the display to change to US Std and everything was back to normal.

I have an '03 Hemi stock except for an AFR cold air intake and a generic Flowmaster type muffler in front of the axle with a downspout, and get 15-15.2 with the cruise on at 72mph or so on flat interstate, and about 13 in town if I keep my foot out of it stoplight to stoplight. Of course I can make it get about 10 if I really hammer it....:)
