I just got this truck from a guy basically a trade for money he owed me . Now the truck feels like it is misfiring . I do have a check engine light showing up but , I went to hook up my scanner and I can't find the OBD II port anywhere . Anyone have a picture of it's location or a good explanation where . I've looked everywhere to no avail .
I am a diesel guy from another forum but now that I have a V10 dodge and a dodge diesel I may see what this forum is all about .
Thanks for any help

1995 is pre-OBDII. You need to find the Specific diagnostic connector. It should be underhood, R.R. corner, next to the PCM.

By the way, welcome aboard, this forum isn't frequented by as many people as our affiliate LX forums, but I try to stop by when I can to help people out.

Thanks , I was wondering if it was OBD II or not . I do see the PCM on the passengerside firewall and the only plug I see loose is coming out of the wiring harness going to the PCM . But it seems more like it's for extra accessories. It might have about 8-10 holes in it and is more square than elongated but at the same time it is not a perfect square . It's bigger on one side than the other . Strange, that picture didn't show up when I first read you post although I'm not sure what to make of it as my nuetral safety switch is good .
Thanks for the help !

Wait a minute, I'll fix it. You can't copy and paste directly from AllData... Fixed... by the way, that sounds like the right connector.

That's the ticket ! That's the plug that I see just couldn't believe it would be exposed to the elements like that . I appreciate that picture that is what I was needing . Now if you don't mind one more question what scan tool do I need to buy for the truck , how much and can I get it at Advance auto ? Thanks for the help .

This one does OBD I and OBD II, so if you have another car to check out you can use it. Does OBD I (1995 and earlier) Chrysler, GM, and Ford and includes cables.

You can also try the key dance, but having a scan tool with sensor readouts can help and is allot easier.
Ignition Key On-Off-On-Off-On. Count Check engine light flashes. Short pauses are in- between numbers. Long pauses are in between full codes.

Thanks T-Bird you've been a big help . I cycled the key and I got 12 - which makes sense since I've had the batteries disconnected while it's sat for a few months . 37 - Open or short in CKT wiring or connectors. Voltage out of range at transmission temperature sensor input. See NOTE #1 below ...NOTE 1 says...... - From the 1995 TRUCK (Ram) manuals: the trailer towing package includes a transmission coolant temp sensor while the standard package doesn't. The fault code detection system is probably the same for both models. This could cause the low (no) voltage indication....no sensor to send any voltage.. So I guess I need to check my build sheet and see if I have the tow pkg or not to see if I have a bad sensor or not .
46 - voltage too high , ok so either the regulator went out or some other issue .
Unfortunately , none of these codes are doing anything for me because , they don't tell me why my engine is running like it's on 5 cylinders . GRRRRR !
