Hello everyone! Got an issue that's gonna drive me insane! Need help! I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500, 4X4 with the 5.9L 360. About a month ago, it started running like crap all of a sudden. Bogging down when you lay into the excelerator and idling real low when you let of the gas, then roaring back to life at proper idle when you come to a complete stop. Had a long time Dodge employee hook up a computer to it and said since I didn't have an O2 sensor(I put dual exhaust on it in Feb 2010, in doing so, removed Cat. Con. and sensor, and of course the "check engine" light stays on), they couldn't tell what was happening. I've tried "Heet" to removed any possible water in the gas tank, fuel injection cleaner with high grade gas, and a new throttle body position sensor. None of this worked. All signs point to the O2 sensor not being there and it messing up the mixture. Why all of a sudden 1 1/2 years later? Will putting the sensor on one side of the duals throw the computer off worse? It there a way to splice it to both sides, and would that even work? Is there a way to bypass the O2? Please help before I drive it off a cliff! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I see a couple ways of doing this if you have a true dual and not a dual outlet (single into dual).
1. Put the factory cat back in, with the O2 sensor, split it dual after the cat or run a single muffler with dual outlets.
2. Run a crossover pipe between each down pipe, with the crossover being just ahead of the O2 sensor location.
Why are you running it without the cat??? You don't have annual emissions tests in GA???

Hey thanks for the info. Saw your avatar. I'm a Red Sox fan too. Originally from New England. Go Patriots! The county I live in in Ga does not currently have emissions inspections. I'm just trying to get ideas that maybe the issues with my truck aren't related to the computer at all. I still don't get why it suddenly goes down hill after 18 months have passed since I converted the exhaust.
