hey guys, the o 2002 single cab 4.7L 1500 has a few "problem/not problems"

very rarely, the gas gauge with go way down, then, after about 20 minutes, it will go back to normal. it's not really a problem, just can get annoying.

next, once in every 10 or so days, the "service engine soon" light comes on for about 3 days, then goes off. ive heard that sometimes those lights just act crazy but, thought ide at least ask. thank ya for any help you can give me!

They don't act crazy. They come on for a reason. Cycle the ignition key on-off-on-off-on and see what P-Codes are displayed. Gas gauge dropping may be related to Check engine light, might be seperate. Sounds like a gauge sender might be on it's way out, check what P-codes you get and post them here. If the key dance method don't work, get them scanned at a parts store. AutoZone I think will check the codes for free.

Well if it didn't show any P codes, and you have no MIL on at this time, then you'll have to wait until the light comes back on and do the key dance again.
