I've got a question for all you out there. I have been having a problem with my automatic transmission warning light coming on. What happens is this.... driving along the highway and the warning light comes on and then the check engine light comes on next. I simply pull over and turn the engine off and start back up, this resets the computer and all is well again. The check engine light will stay on for a while longer.
What have I done to take care of this problem, I've brought it to the dealer where I purchased it and they have.... 1) replaced the 02 sensor, 2) replaced the map sensor. This hasn't worked and I haven't done anything else since it cost too much to have someone not troubleshoot the problem and just throw parts at it at my expense.
So with all that said has anyone out there had this problem with their truck and what fixed it for you? Did you need to replace the computer? Any advice would be great. Thanks
