Last night the brakes on my '97 Ram 1500 were fine. This morning the pedal goes nearly to the floor but the brakes still work. Feels like a one side or the other of the system developed an overnight leak, but the master cylinder is not low and there are no wet spots visible underneath. Can this be a failure of some part of the system that balances the two sides of the brake system?
HELP!

Check the soft lines, one of them might be bulged into a bubble. Also, the vacuum booster might be bad, or there might possibly be a vacuum leak. Good luck.

I had the same thing happen yesterday 99 ram 1500. The brake line behind the gas tank going to the rear brakes got a hole in it- rust. Now I got to see were I can get a brake line, this should be fun.

Don't know if it would be a failor ? I would try to bleed the brake in your truck by pushing the brake repeadly till stiff. That might help I had to do that to my 1996 2500 it wouldn't stop all that great foot have to go all the way. Maybe a pinched brake line too. That might help.
